چکیده

We study the nonequilibrium steady-state of a fully-coupled network $N$ quantum harmonic oscillators, interacting with two thermal reservoirs. Given long-range nature couplings, we consider setups: one in which number particles coupled to baths is fixed (intensive coupling) and it proportional size (extensive coupling). In both cases, compute analytically heat fluxes kinetic temperature distributions using Green's function approach, classical regimes. large limit, derive asymptotic expressions quantities as difference between baths. discuss peculiar feature model, namely that bulk vanishes thermodynamic due decoupling dynamics inner part system from At variance usual this implies steady state depends on initial bulk. also show effects are relevant only below characteristic $1/N$. low-temperature regime energy flux universal conductance.

Mean-field Approximation of Quantum Systems and Classical Limit

If the two-body interaction φ is sufficiently smooth, the behavior of the system for large N is well understood (Seee for instance Ref.s [1],[2],[3]). Namely, if the initial positions and velocities of the particles are independently and identically distributed according to the probability density f = f(x, v), in the limit N → ∞ each particle is distributed at time t according to the distributi...

Thermal Reservoir coupled to External Field and Quantum Dissipation

In the framework of the Caldeira -Leggett model of dissipative quantum mechanics, we investigate the effects of the interaction of the thermal reservoir with an external field. In particular, we discuss how the interaction modifies the conservative dynamics of the central particle, and the mechanism of dissipation. We briefly comment on possible observable consequencies. PACS numbers: 05.30.-d,...

Dynamics and termination cost of spatially coupled mean-field models

This work is motivated by recent progress in information theory and signal processing where the so-called spatially coupled design of systems leads to considerably better performance. We address relevant open questions about spatially coupled systems through the study of a simple Ising model. In particular, we consider a chain of Curie-Weiss models that are coupled by interactions up to a certa...

Classical nonlocal models for quantum field states

Classical nonlocal field models consisting of probability density functionals over functions defined everywhere on Minkowski space are constructed directly from a quantum field state, using functional methods.

Conservative Quantum Dynamical Semigroups for mean-field quantum diffusion models

We consider a class of evolution equations in Lindblad form, which model the dynamics of dissipative quantum mechanical systems with mean-field interaction. Particularly, this class includes the so-called Quantum Fokker-Planck-Poisson model. The existence and uniqueness of global, mass preserving solutions is proved, thus establishing the existence of a nonlinear conservative quantum dynamical ...
